Tom joined the Englewood Marauders along with former Reds' teammates Al Ramirez and Orestes Medina in 1999 as pivotal pickups which helped determine how far the team went last year. He brings experience as well as a rare but important commodity to the team by being a left-handed ace.
Career Highlights:
• Tom picked up his first win as a Marauder on May 16, 1999 by scattering 11 hits and allowing four earned runs in a complete game against the Westchester Cobras.
• Tom pitched splendidly in a complete game loss to the Union County Black Sox by allowing only one earned run over eight innings (extra innings) and striking out six.
• Tom led the Marauders in 1999 in the following pitching categories: Runs allowed, earned runs allowed, hits allowed, earned run average (ERA) and tied for the team lead complete games pitched.
