Nephty joined the league in Spring 2001 as a member of the the Kearny Rangers. He was a key leader on the Rangers 2001 Fall Championship squad, and proceeded to become a perennial All-Star Selection each season. Looking for a spark, Sal Nicosia set out to obtain Nephty's talent and leadership capabilities and would not be denied. Once Nephty became a member of the NY/NJ White Sox, he proceeded to be the battery anchor of arguably one of the best pitching staffs in Lou Gehrig League history (Rick Rivera, Angel Acosta, Rich "Red" Muniz and "All World" Dave Jiminian). Nephty didn't disappoint, leading the White Sox to five League Championships, which included the the de-throning of the three-time Champion Fairfield Marlins. Looking for new challenges and determined to show the league he's ready to be considered amongst the elite players in League History, Nephty joins the Mob as a Free Agent from the White Sox and hopes to mold a young, talented pitching staff by bringing the same leadership qualities and winning attitude to a team ready to take the Quantum Leap to a League Championship. |

• Nephty was named the 2005 Lou Gehrig Fall Season MVP, which included a career day of 4-for-5 (single, 3 doubles), a run scored and 7 RBI vs. the Mob that same season. |
