BUZZ-Worthy! Many story lines intertwine as Mob takes on Yellow Jackets in first ever Lou Gehrig playoff matchup between teams...

8/2/2012 7:17:16 PM

MAHWAH, NJ - The Spring 2012 regular season drew to a close today, as all teams who had pending make-up games opted not to play them in preparation for the playoffs, thereby closing out the standings in what has been quite an interesting season of stories so far.

The functionally frisky Mob, ranked sixth by virtue of losing a 2-1-1 tie breaker to the Paterson Black Sox despite being tied in the standings, will take on the suddenly reeling New Milford Yellow Jackets on Saturday, August 4th, who take a three game losing streak into the playoffs, which includes a 2-0 shutout loss on July 22nd against former teammate (and probable starter) Erick Golomb.

Friendly rivalries are sure to be tested all the way around before, during and after the game is over, as this matchup represents a do-or-die, "winner advance and loser go home" single elimination game.

Game time is 5 PM on Saturday, August 4th at Midland Park H.S.. All player personnel should report to the field by 3:30 PM for pre-game.

Live Englewood Marauders play-by-plays now available online
New GameChanger web and mobile scorekeeping technology lets fans follow real-time game action

April 3, 2011

The Englewood Marauders announced today that live play-by-plays and stats for every game this season will be made available online through a new technology called GameChanger. Now fans, local media and other team followers can follow the team's online 'GameStream,' even when they can't be at the field.

Too good to be true? Here's how it works: The Marauder scorekeepers use the GameChanger iPhone/iPod touch application to physically score each game. Every play and update recorded by the scorekeeper on the iPhone app - yes, every hit, run and strike - will be instantly posted online where registered fans can follow the action. Dozens of post-game statistics are also automatically compiled for every player.

"Live online game feeds have always been reserved for the big leagues - until now," said Ted Sullivan, co-founder of the GameChanger technology. "The ability to now 'watch' a local youth game while you're at work or in a business meeting is absolutely priceless - just ask any working parent with a kid on the field. We're excited that the Englewood Marauders are bringing GameChanger to their community fans."

Marauder fans can sign up to follow the action here: http://www.gamechanger.io/team-86978
